Specifically, it caters for students enrolled in ODeL mode and would like to access learning materials either online or purchase hard copies for use in the course. Course Objectives By the end of the course the learner should be able to: 1. Have a general overview of computer system, which includes the fundamental components for computer system; hardware and software; 2. A broad overview of the field of computer science and include a fundamental and topical issues in computer science; 3. Learn how an operating system interfaces the hardware resources with users environment; 5. You are therefore expected to make timetable for self study and prepare to occasionally come for limited face to face interaction with the lecturer. You are also encouraged to form study groups with your colleagues. Class assignments will be given with timelines and during the face to face interaction with the lecturer.
